Girls Day Out

Since I have recently gone back into the work force Addison and I haven't had a "girls day" in awhile. Today was a furlow day for the Bartow County School System and that meant ~ Everybody else will be working and we can have the whole day to do anything and so we did! To start off we slept in a little later than we have (7:30 instead of 6:45) at breakfast together and then headed out for our adventure.

First stop - we met Daddy at a BP station on our way to the Avenue to pick-up a birthday gift for Emma Grace. Addison got to "drive" Daddy's truck and we took photos in front of the logo. She had never seen his truck and was completely blown away by its size.

Learning to drive

Second stop - We dropped into the Avenue and picked up Emma Grace's lap desk and headed on down to the mall. A few weeks ago we were there and saw this amazing indoor play area but because it was a Friday night it was totally crowded and unsafe for Addison so I promised her we would come back and so today we did! Today there were only about 4 kids and all around the same age and she totally enjoyed it. She ran around and made new friends and played so hard. It was totally worth it.

Girls day out GirlsThen we hopped on the train and away we went. She loved this. All the people passing by us she would wave and say "Hi".

Lastly we split a McDonalds Nugget Happy Meal and then a quick "pop-in" at Hancock Fabrics for some cute blue/chocolate striped fabric that I will be making her some ruffled pants from very soon. All in all we had a lot of "us" time today. We were back home at 3:00 for a power nap and then we cooked dinner for Daddy and told him all about our day, he was totally jealous and wants to go the next time :)
